Excel 2016 comes with Get and Transform right out of the box; however, there are some issues when moving between Excel 2010/2013 and Excel 2016.

Due to the release mechanisms for an add-in versus a built-in component, Excel 2010/2013 will generally receive PowerQuery patches before Excel 2016 receives Get and Transform patches. This will occasionally cause Excel 2016 to have queries created in an older version which will trigger warnings and "downgrade" requests.

In this course, we will be using Excel 2016 patched through September 2016. Any installation more recent than that will work and this course will not be pushing into the boundaries of the latest patched additions so even if you are not patched to that point, you should still be ok.
