General Requirements

In order to benefit from this course, you should know some basic information about Excel and be comfortable using Excel to perform various tasks. This is not a course for someone brand-new to Excel, but someone who is comfortable with Excel and desiring to learn more about one of the more powerful newer features of Excel.

With that in mind, you should be:

  1. Comfortable With the Ribbon
    1. What "Tabs" are
    2. How to Navigate and Use the Ribbon
  2. Understand Formulas - How to Write and Modify Them
    1. You don't need to be a pro, but understanding formula construction will help you.
  3. Knowledgeable about standard Excel Terms
    1. Cells, worksheets, workbooks.

This course will not use any Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

This course is written and produced using the Windows version of Excel 2016, so hotkeys, visualizations, and other aspects may not translate perfectly to the Mac version.
